to The American Birddog Classic Field Trial Club,
commonly reffered to as simply ABC.
ABC is dedicated to the promotion and advancement of Pointing Sporting Dogs, and
Amateur Field Training. ABC follows strict requirements for the breeding of Pointing Sprots Dogs. All Birddogs participating in ABC Sanctioned Field Trials must be registered in The FIeld Dog Stud Book or AKC.
ABC promotes the sport of Upland Bird hunting over Pointing Sporting
Dogs by sponsoring Field Trial venues that provide the opportunity to compete in walking-stake Field Trials over Chukar, various sub-species of Quail, Ringneck Pheasant and other Upland regional species. Field Trial venues are developed and maintained to emulate the natural habitat of Upland Birds. Native grasses, rowcrops, and wild cover indigenous to the local area are cultivated to provide this natural habitat.
ABC takes seriously the responsibilities each of us have in protecting our natural resources, and leads by example in all aspects of the environmental stewardship. ABC and all ABC Affiliated Clubs invest heavily to improve the natural habitat for Upland Birds and other indigenious wildlife.
ABC Affiliated Clubs are represenatives of the best Field trial and Pointing Sporting Dog Business Enterprises available in America today. Their personnel will assist you in travel arrangments, including directions and reservations for lodging, and fine dining, in addition to hosting and many other varied outdoor sporting activities.
